Jason Zibarras
Jason Zibarras is the Managing Partner and Founder of Argo Infrastructure Partners and concurrently sits on several infrastructure company boards. Zibarras established Argo in late 2013 with the desire to create an improved way to match the infrastructure needs of institutional investors with a simpler and more efficient investment model partnership. Since 2013, Zibarras has overseen billions invested in high-quality, essential infrastructure businesses. Managing more than $6bn of capital on behalf of institutional partners, his long-term and successful experience within the infrastructure investment industry has seen him close notable transactions, including securing a landmark 10-year hydro power purchase agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority in 2024 in a joint venture alongside Brookfield.
The investment philosophy of Jason Zibarras, which he has implemented successfully at Argo, is one which combines strong investment returns within a responsible and sustainable framework. Environmental, social and governance best practices are therefore continually integrated into asset selection and management processes. One of Argo’s managed assets was awarded the first “E1” Green Evaluation from Standard & Poors. Argo has further participated in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark programme through its portfolio companies and is a member of the Long-Term Infrastructure Investors Association and the Global Infrastructure Investor Association.
Jason Zibarras began his career at ING Barings. His responsibilities included the origination and execution of infrastructure advisory, debt and equity capital arranging and private finance for opportunities globally. Landmark transactions included the sale/privatisation of Brussels Airport, and the capital restructuring of Ajman Utilities, a Thames Water sponsored utility, as well as a series of transactions for John Laing plc.
Jason Zibarras served as Global Chief Investment Officer of Infrastructure Investment Group at J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPM) in New York. This role included responsibility for thirteen asset OECD portfolio investments. While successfully navigating the Group’s portfolio during and after the headwinds of the global financial crisis, Zibarras also led JPM’s purchase of Cairns and Mackay Airports, where he subsequently served as Chairman of the two airports, overseeing the highly successful redevelopment of the Cairns Domestic Terminal. Zibarras was also a member of the Investment Committee and Chair of the Group’s Operating Committee.
In addition to his highly regarded positions within infrastructure investment, Jason Zibarras is active within the film and television industry. He served as an Executive Producer on the 2023 crime/black-comedy feature film The Kill Room staring Uma Thurman and Samual L Jackson. He is currently developing two medical related docu-dramas, as well as an aviation-related feature film.

Between 2007 and 2013, Jason Zibarras served as the Managing Director and Global Chief Investment Officer of Infrastructure Investment Group at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. This role included responsibility for managing the Group’s existing portfolio of investments, heading the Group’s European investment activities and managing a global OECD private equity portfolio, while successfully navigating the Group during the headwinds of the 2008 financial crisis. Zibarras led JPM Infrastructure Investment Fund’s acquisition team in the purchase of Cairns and Mackay Airports, where he also served as Chairman of the two airports, overseeing the highly successful redevelopment of the Cairns Domestic Terminal. Zibarras was also a member of the Investment Committee and Chair of the Group’s Operating Committee.
